Textures

I did not attempt to depict a specific aircraft while making the Dora. The aircraft you have is painted in a late-war scheme with RLM 70 (Gray) and RLM 83 (Green) on top and RLM 76 (Light Blue) on the undersides.

The aircraft is marked as "Yellow 12", an imaginary aircraft of a generic "9th Staffle of the III Gruppe".

I used the "Paint Shop Pro layering technique" to produce these textures, which allows all the lines and shapes to be drawn as "vector" objects. I was also able to import a plan view from AF99 and paste it as my top "layer" to assist in placing the textures exactly.

If anyone wants to produce new textures for the Dora, send me an email <shoultsh@yahoo.com>, and I’ll sent you the Paint Shop Pro (*.psp) files I used that already have the dimensions correct and the "lines" drawn. WARNING: The zip file is nearly 8 megs!

Below are several profile views that I used when producing these textures. I’m afraid I can’t find the URLs where I got all these from, but they’re out there somewhere... My thanks to the artists and web masters who produced these!

And, yes, I know the one on the bottom is a TA152H! My next project?
